社会学硕士，经济学博士。华中科技大学社会学系教授、博导。社会学院副院长。香港中文大学社会学系访问人员（2003年）、美国加利福尼亚大学（伯克利）的访问学者（2008.9-2009.9年）。访问曼彻斯特大学（2012年）。
